Treasure Map_2011fall

In my course playful games 101, ‘Treasure Map’ is one of the exciting events that students can easily involve in. In short of this game, students observe the spatial relationship within the environment prior to apply visual elements, such as symbols and few keywords to illustrate their treasure maps. With various ways of presenting their map, the start point (from where we were) and the terminal point (depending on each one/group’s setting) have to be clearly shown. Discussions on the real use of the map (user experiences) and the visual design of the map (representation of visual information) always a pleasing time of sharing. Several interesting drafts from Fall2011 as below–
