IAs are like Robin Hood

Wiki defines that Information Architecture “is a specialized skill set that interprets information and expresses distinctions between signs and systems of signs. More concretely, it involves the categorization of information into a coherent structure, preferably one that the intended audience can understand quickly, if not inherently, and then easily retrieve the information for which they are searching,” according to Rosenfeld and Morville (1998). Information Architecture Institute defines Information Architecture as “the art and science of organizing and labeling websites, intranets, online communities and software to support usability.” An interesting video describes IA Designers are like Robin Hood to steal/rob (to adapt, to transform, to borrow) from the rich giving to ‘users’… in order to create insights, to explore solutions, to integrate strategic and tactical, to grow as a discipline, to work smarter, to think outside the box, to constantly evolve, to communicate concepts….
